One of the bigger issues with "cringe", as a categorization of things, imho, is not so much that it puts down the work/interest that ppl have or that it like, talks shit about people - the issues is the ways that it *flattens* things that are otherwise really diverse, some kids uploading their school project w/ way too much energy is *not* the same thing as like, K-Pop or that video where all the celebrities sang Imagine & we lose this distinction when we just think about all of them as being "cringe"
