US Marshals are part of the judicial branch. They wouldn’t typically be involved in executive branch operations. But this brings up a good point. Everyone on US soil needs to understand that there are two types of warrants: administrative and judicial. Only judicial warrants need be complied with. If an agent states they have a warrant to pick up so-and-so, demand to see the warrant. If it’s administrative, tell them to come back when they have a judicial warrant. I know: easier said than done. This case proves that *everyone* on US soil is vulnerable. Neighbors need to be forming mutual defense groups. Agree on a signal, raise the alarm, go out and shoot video, call the local police and news media, circle the wagons to protect each other from federal goons. 💔
