Proof once again that Canadians are much smarter than USians. Trump bloviates his way into the Canadian election with bat💩 crazy ramblings and they roundly reject it, but our idiot country elects him.

Sadly, it was due more the falloff by the NDP than the conservatives and they'll need to partner with the NDP to form a government. Canada's version of MAGA seems as steadfast as the US's.

Every country today has their version of MAGA, which is always a minority of the population. What a smart country does is not let them get into power. Canadians saw the danger and stopped it, keeping the trolls from taking over the government. Well done, Canada.

Looking at the polling charts for the last few months, it seems like, had Trump not inserted himself into Canadian politics, that Canadians were on a path to hand control to the Conservatives (primarily by splitting the non-Conservative vote across the Liberal Party and NDP). Fortunately, Trump was nice enough to not shut up about the 51st state thing, even in the waning hours of the election.
