I just took a painkiller and it cut the inside of my throat (if the pain and blood-tasting mucus is anything to go by).

My body is very good at the functioning thing.

@Gulleko once upon a time, while recovering from a COVID shot, I was taking pain killers fairly regularly

I swallowed a pill wrong and threw up some blood

Being concerned about this I called the health link number

They told me to go to the hospital

After about 4 hours in the hospital, they told me that I was fine and should go home

@Wearwolf That sounds very unpleasant! Luckily I only tasted a little bit of blood when clearing my throat, so no hospital visit needed. 😅

@Gulleko yes, that's a much better choice

@pomegranate_stew I don't know! It was just a standard round, flat pill that I take all the damn time, this one just chose violence.

@Gulleko you'd think after x number of decades we would have figured out breathing and swallowing. 🤷
