@niss maybe it's because i haven't actually experienced any of its media but i like gex. don't know why people hate him. he reminds me of my dad (i know it's a wild thing to say but i'm serious)
@fen kinda same tbh. there are plenty of video games that aren't very good
i guess his quips get annoying if you play a whole game in one sitting
@niss i was raised on lame quips & dad jokes about niche & obscure pop culture reference. i was raised by a cinephile whose idea for an 18th birthday party is to do a 18h LotR marathon with extended commentary. and ended up not watching movies ever. gex is my dad's fursona in spirit and i love it
