I cannot overstate how impossibly back-, front-, and side-stabbed the US farm sector is getting.

They're being frozen out of new trade deals. And not just Trump but the *entire GOP House caucus* is out to gut the USDA budget they already had.

This is what being on Team Trump gets you, folks 🤠

@sarahtaber This is basically 100% opposite what the GOP did for ag for basically forever, isn't it?

Well, they voted for the dude who thinks a spread of McDonalds is appropriate for celebrations, and eats his steak extra-well-done and covered with catsup. (and who explicitly said he was going to screw them) They got what they wanted, so... yay for them? I guess?

@wordshaper @sarahtaber It also depends on what side of ag you’re talking about. For decades small farms have been gobbled up my big ag.of the three farm families I grew up with in Illinois. One retired and sold out to another family, while the other got bought by some big conglomerate and now are employees on a farm they used to own.
