From my friend Dr. Thanh Huynh Neville: "Elon didn't realize it, but he has encouraged the development of the TRANS car: born a Tesla but identifies as something else."

I don't think the truck in particular is happy as a truck.

@LPerry2 i like this a lot better than the "bought before he was evil" stickers

(protip he was always evil)

@LPerry2 the Cybertruck is a trans-porter after all.

And given the loathing that rural US citizens have for Toyota trucks compared to their beloved Ford and Chevy, this rebranding to Toyota is quite the statement.
@martin_ueding Surely no rural people attempt to drive a Cybertruck? They are not built for rough roads. Unlike, say, a Toyota Tacoma.

When I was in Missouri, people were really proud of their Ford F-350 6.0 V8 dual wheel crew cab six foot bed all wheel drive trucks. So yes, they likely wouldn't buy Cybertruck in the first place.

You're right, Toyota is much more prevalent in California. And there most people don't need a truck to begin with.

Yesterday i saw my first de-patched Tesla in New Zealand
