Trying the pre-release of #nyxt right now with the #electron backend. The pages render correctly (finally!) and very, very quickly (yay!), but the interface still hangs occasionally and the url hints are not always in the right location. The built-in dark mode looks great. Starting to feel a bit optimistic about the whole nyxt thing!
Oh yes... the adblocker is doing its thing quite well. Previous versions of nyxt didn't manage to get rid of a lot of ads, but now it seems to work.
Oh my god it's nice to be able to use emacs keybindings natively in my browser...
The spell-checker doesn't seem to want to be turned off, though...
Also the tab indicators don't get updated with the correct website. No biggie, though, I much prefer just hitting C-x b instead, like on emacs
All things considered, though, this is after all a pre-release, so I expect some hitches. And the user experience is vastly superior to the previous version.
Another day of test-running #nyxt. Keeps crashing on me for no particular reason. The copy-url function only copies the (incorrect) title of the website, not the actual url. Also the edit in external editor command fails.
@kf So glad this is getting there, I've been using Qute, but as you know it's not the same
@ablatedsprocket yup. Hopefully they'll be able to iron out the crashes and various other bugs so that it becomes usable as a daily driver... At the moment it's not quite there yet
