It seems like spotify is popular for listening to podcasts, and I don't understand why??
@sotolf because people don't know better
@joel probably, but it must be one of the worst apps to use for podcasting :P
@sotolf absolutely, and it ruins the music side too because it adds podcasts to recommendations instead of music lol
@sotolf I used to do it because I wanted to have all my listening in one app (music & podcasts). Now I use Apple Podcasts because the UI is so much better and I can actually subscribe via RSS lol
@roguefoam so you stream everything then? I always download so that I can listen when I'm on the go without net :)
@sotolf Spotify would let me download podcasts - I had it auto set so any new episodes of podcasts I follow would auto download. It was on and off consistent though - Apple Podcasts does a much better job at auto downloading.
@roguefoam @sotolf On iOS I use @overcastfm and it works fantastically. I find it more intuitive than Apple Podcast and allows rss as well.

Good app from an indie dev; it is very much worth the asking price. I have been using Overcast for years.

I like overcast, but also check out Podverse - it’s a GPL client that works very well on iOS. I used it for quite some time.

@jlw_the_jobber @roguefoam I'm on android using podcast addict, and very happy with it :) It has all the settings that I want, which is quite a lot :p
@sotolf Spotify monopoly confirmed?
