Since this is Doing Numbers: I am actively looking for a Boston-area "teaching ex-cons to code" type program to help with. I thought I'd heard of a few but the ones I found were defunct.

@afeinman I think more people should read resistance by Agnès Humbert. Particularly the part where she's sentenced to do hard labour.

The prisoners around her were not just French, there were German Women who were considered criminal for many reasons.

I got the book for Christmas and it's a good read and starkly applicable to now.
