Japan's ANA and Singapore Air ink revenue-sharing pact

TOKYO -- Asian airlines All Nippon Airways and Singapore Airlines on Thursday signed a partnership contract aimed at strengthening their position in the Asian region, as competition from budget airlines intensifies.The deal will allow the companies to align flight schedules, coordinate fares and share revenues, initially on the Singapore-Japan route. This kind of tie-up is called a 'joint venture' in the aviation industry.
