So automated planning is one of the AI fields, which focuses solely on sequential reasoning. From layman's perspective any LLM reasons much better then any AI planner, because the planners need very formally defined world model (i.e., context). Do LLMs reason like a human? Of course not, but does a toddler or a dog reason as human? Anyways it does not seems to me dogs and toddlers reason better then LLMs. Btw. wasn't this all reasoning in language by a human only?
