@grimalkina This essay brought me back years to the time after I “defected” from a software engineering role to a design/UX role. After a while I noticed that when I presented research results or UX work, I would be taken much more seriously and questioned less than when the same work was presented by other designers. Basically the assumption was that somehow my coding skills made my UX work more credible. I guess I was Technical.
