Spokane is a big blue island in the mostly-very-low-population red part of Washington State. It's important that they haven't gone to some damn vulture fund operator or more some pink slime fascist noise machine.

Particularly if you're out on the dry side, you might throw them some support.

@moira I had a subscription from when I moved to Spokane in 2016 until Stacey Cowles took over the entire opinion section to put out a huge full page screed about how we needed to re-elect Donald Trump in 2020. We cancelled our subscription because of that crap.

If the Cowles family won’t have anything to do with it anymore, maybe we’ll check it out again.

@thatKomputerKat According to the article, the Cowles family will be out. They say that the older generation want to leave the paper and none of the younger generation want to have anything to do with running a newspaper, they all have other interests.

Honestly, it's an opportunity.
