Tokyo Electron opens new headquarters in Austin

AUSTIN, Texas — Japan's leading semiconductor company officially cut the ribbon and opened a new headquarters in Austin's River South today.Tokyo Electron LTD does about 13 billion dollars in business a year, and it's the fourth largest semiconductor manufacturer in the world.Wednesday morning's event was attended by Tokyo Electron executives, the Texas Secretary of State, and even the vice president of Samsung.
