That’s how they always do it.
It’s usually terrorism, sometimes treason. But there is always an unproven accusation of some heinous crime, which is why most people will just accept it, because “it only affects the criminals”. And it is also how they motivate their henchmen to do the dirty work.
Jews in Nazi-Germany were accused of causing millions of Germans to die in WW1 and of causing poverty in the depression through exploitation. And this is why the Nazi henchmen worked diligently to get rid of the Jews, because they had lost family members in WW1 and lived through Depression poverty and they wanted to help their country become great again by getting rid of all the undesirables.

I was watching “Born in East LA” for the upteenth time and there were comments from 3 or 4 years ago defending the (actor) cop’s deporting an American (Cheech). This is not a new thing, this is them carrying on doing what they’ve wanted to do.

It's still not over and they're probably going to toss military votes (and more, up to 60,000+) from democrat-leaning counties only. Fewer than 1,000 people decided the election and they're just going to undo enough to make that pesky loss go away.

That is a great documentary that explains very clearly the world we live in. It’s a long one at three hours … but a very worthwhile and informative show that should be required viewing by everyone.
I’m not sleepwalking, but what can we outside of US really do? I’m fully aware of what’s happening, but it’s not much I can do as a regular EU citizen.
I mean lots of little stuff you’re probably already doing. Buying locally/EU, not visiting the US right now, supporting friends and family whenever they are. Condemning fascism at home when it pops up.
This country could use an honest conversation about home-grown terrorists. Doubt this data survived the fascist info purge, but at last count 98% of domestic terror attacks were perpetrated by white nationalist republicans.

It’s worth noting that they’re not only innocent, they’ve received no due process at all. They weren’t even charged with a crime. They were just sent to indefinite imprisonment, and they’re not even charged with a crime, nor will they ever get a chance to be heard before a judge or jury. The state didn’t even bother cooking up a crime before depriving them of their liberties. Folks, this is bad, this is it, we’re living the dictatorship right now. If the government wants to deprive you of your liberty, it should always have to prove its case in court, to a jury of peers. It’s not a perfect system, but it’s at least some kind of check to make sure the state isn’t just arbitrarily tossing people in prison for life; which is exactly what’s happening here. Let me say it loud and clear:
