i’ve never had eggs and sausage gravy, but it sounds pretty good.
was it any good?
That’s fair. I’ll plate things for my family as well when it seems like it’s needed. Didn’t realize this dish was one where it’s needed. I’ve only had biscuits and white gravy once, and it was a hotel continental (free) breakfast. Pretty delicious, but I’m positive it can’t compare to the proper dish. I don’t think it even had sausage in the gravy.
Also yes, I hate having people in the kitchen as I cook haha.
I’ll hope to have it proper some day. Thanks for your reply.
In a "traditional’ American breakfast with eggs you get a choice of protein like bacon or sausage, eggs cooked a few different ways, some kind of starch like potatoes or grits, and a bread option like toast or [American] biscuits. On that bread option you can put butter or jam. I had extra [American] biscuits and with as heavy as the sausage gravy and eggs were going to be I put some jam on them to offer a little acidic brightness to the mix.
This meal was basically 300 grams of pork, three eggs, 120 ml of cream, 170 ml of milk, and 40 grams of butter with 140 grams of flour mixed in. That’s per person. It’s all fat and carbs. A little contrast with acid in the jam helps liven things up a little.
Yeah that’s a lot of food. But it was my only meal of the day.
Task failed successfully.
Now she never has to plate up again ;)
No. It’s not her fault. She’s doing the best she can, after all. It’s just that… you can’t depend on women. You can’t depend on anyone. Sooner or later, you need to learn that no one else is gonna take care of you. That’s what I learned when I had to make my own sandwich. You can’t rely on other people, BoJack.
I looked at the picture and thought “that cant be good” until I saw the sauce under the eggs.
Looks fantastic, minus the sponge bread.
How was it supposed to be served?
