sayrer@retornam mostly here. The destruction of Twitter made me sad, but it did cut down on social media time. I use Threads sometimes, and Bluesky and X less so. Always the same handle.
@sayrer this place feels dead most days. I noped out of Threads after their announcement in December. Bluesky is mostly politics and I quit Twitter for good last year
@retornam I get a post every 5-10 minutes, mostly tech stuff, which is fine for me. I often open Ivory and find I'm 200 posts behind. I use YouTube a lot more for sports stuff, now that Twitter is gone. All the Smoke, Mind the Game, 7PM in Brooklyn for NBA.
@sayrer I miss the banter and community.
@retornam It's a tradeoff. The NBA players talk about this a lot. The banter is fun sometimes, but these fools have no idea how hard NBA basketball is. Latest episode of “Mind the Game" is good on this issue.
There was a poll where the choice was take 1 million dollars or try to get one basket in against NBA players for 10 million. The NBA players all said "take the 1 million and go home”.
