🎶 From #harp strings to heartstrings 🧵1/2

I began playing the harp at age 7 in music school in Paris.

In the 1980s, my teacher Martine Géliot would take me to many competitions. I was consistently the only "boy" among many girls, the harp being an instrument predominantly played by women.

🤭 Little did they know, I was simply dressed according to the sex I was assigned at birth. We were, in fact, all girls 👧🏻.
I was simply a #transgender girl in an uncracked egg 🏳️‍⚧️.

I often came home with first prizes, sometimes unanimously awarded by the jury.

I now wonder: did the "cute boy factor" give me an edge?

I've since relinquished any unearned privileges to live authentically as my true self, a woman. I spell it: ♀️ W O M A N ♀️.
Do I need to give the trophies back?

Yes, the reference to #trans women in sports hidden in plain sight is absolutely intentional!
