Paraplegic RacehorseI wonder how the economy would change if the law required publicly traded companies to pay out 50% of their profits in dividends and forced investors to pay into the corporate coffers when the stocks they hold report a loss. I think stock prices would more closely reflect the actual value of assets. I think the taxes paid on dividend earnings would be significant.
