Disclaimer: I have not read Chung Kuo since it first was published in 1989, and have only vague memories of it, so please do not harass me with your negative opinions of it. It is, like everything else, a product of its times.

The important thing to remember is that in this cyberpunk future, Chinese culture becomes the dominant culture on Earth. Our current times show how that is eminently plausible.
