These are not recommendations nor endorsements. They're just books that made me, including recent books that crept into my heart and

List Challenges

So far @Ehlyah leads the leaderboard, which seems appropriate since we're married. My mother's in second.

Of course, that's only of three people, so... I am very curious if someone beats them. (And if you do, and we're not already friends, let's be friends.)

Oh, and I ordered them roughly chronologically, so, uh, yelp when you hit my dissertation. (My first one, on Sir Kay. There's none on there from my second dissertation.)

For a lot of the children's books I wouldn't know as I read in Dutch and I didn't think about authors that much (only when they wrote series)
@ScubaET Yeah, my wife and I had the same mismatch in the books we read as kids, because they grew up in Germany and Belgium (being Belgian with a dad in the army). We had a match on Blyton but just about nothing else.

@shanaqui I counted Heidi as I watched the animated tv series 😉

Now I'm curious if I share one of my favourite authors as a child with your wife, for me it was the Belgian Marc de Bel!
