A lot of people have their retirement accounts wrapped up in the stock market at least partially and while I know it’s fun to imagine rich people’s money disappearing, retirement accounts evaporating and recessions caused by market instability will hurt the regular folks more.

No schadenfreude here.

‘There will be blood’: JPMorgan raises recession risk to 60% as global stock market sell off continues

Trump's tariff increase could cost U.S. households $700 billion, the largest de facto tax hike since LBJ needed to finance the war in Vietnam.

@TonyStark This is not how I hoped to spend my retirement - worrying about my portfolio and my healthcare. We can probably ride this out, but I fear for the many, many others who have fewer resources to fall back on.

@TonyStark

Yes.

I am not a stupid Republican voter and did not F**** around but I still get to find out.

Have to be honest, I hope the idiots who voted for trump hurt most. My lord, looking at their rationalizations, it is amazing how much pain it takes for them to auto-deprogram.

#fafo #RedRecession

@misomunje No argument here. We’re all going to suffer but I have not one bit of sympathy for people who voted to put us here. They were told over and over and it’s not like Trump was an unknown. FAFO.

@misomunje @TonyStark

Trade/tariffs etc will definitely hurt states like KY & FL. They're learning FAFO and "leopards will eat their face."

@FallsMom @misomunje @TonyStark only matters if they vote the Republicans out in the midterms. The dumb dumbs in Florida still voted Republicans in the recent special elections, so I'm skeptical that red states will learn their lesson
@TonyStark One time I agree with someone who is pro wallstreet people.
@TonyStark I’m afraid to look at mine! Seriously.
