Okay, but who is “calling everyone (they) disagree with nazis”? Look at the comment. The initial post is simply “Fuck Nazis.” It’s not calling anyone anything.
That’s why it works as bait. It’s not calling out any individuals in particular, so why would someone get offended by it? Simplest reason would be that they felt personally called out, because deep down some part of them identifies with that word.
I’m not talking about that scenario in particular, it’s pretty obvious there that the guy felt called out. However the other guy said an incorrect statement and I just thought it was dumb, because not all cases are like that

The main difference is that Germany was in a much worse economic situation than America is now.

I’ve been on the internet long enough that calling someone a “Nazi” went from being the highest insult to a historically accurate descriptor of a self identified group. Maybe shutting down Stormfront because all the users went to twitter and facebook where their views became normalized.
It was a pretty overused insult for a while. Something we have to deal with now that the actual nazis are pushing themselves forward.
Maybe they shouldn’t be throwing out sieg heils and getting swastika tattoos if they don’t want to be called Nazis.
