He started at 7 PM Monday, and spoke through the night, and is still going as of 1 PM today

it's half stunt/ half effective action

it depends upon your timing

if you're blocking time sensitive legislation it can be very effective

and you're forcing the GOP to reconfigure by throwing them all off on when things are supposed to be happening and when they're supposed to be there

@benroyce @aho It's not just a stunt--it's true that a few hours here or there won't really block anything directly, but he's using his right to speak on the Senate floor to get ALL THE THINGS into the record, and exhort his colleagues (and the rest of us) to recognize the severity of the moment. Some of them still seem to not get it. After this, they can't say they don't get it.
