It is "ix Industrial" which is actually a decent standard.
@cccpresser doesn't look like ix because it has 2 angled edges on the same side, and the contacts are not shifted. It literally looks like a 8 pin version of the 6 pin firewire 400 alpha connector...

Yeah, you are right. I did not look close enough.
iX is quite similar and totally plausible for this usecase.
