More bulb flower cultivation in the Netherlands; Tulips most popular

More and more tulips, lilies, hyacinths, and other flowers are being grown in the Netherlands. The space that is being used to do this has grown by 16 percent in the last ten years. This was reported by Statistics Netherlands (CBS). Tulips are the most popular by a distance. Almost half of all flower bulb soil is used for this purpose.The largest part of the flower bulbs that are grown in the Netherlands are sent abroad. Over a a billion euros worth of bulbs went over the border in 2023. This is almost 30 percent more than in 2015.
