We should have Kei cars in Canada.

@reece I agree in principle, but I also owned a Smart car for several years in the early 00s and it's pretty scary sharing the road with SUVs.

And now vehicles in Canada are even bigger than they were in 2005. 😬

@notjustbikes @reece

Maybe Canada (and the US) should have Kei cars instead of pickups and SUVs.

@notjustbikes @reece I had similar experience with car2go car share in Toronto when I was on the 401 (rarely). But on calm city streets in the urban core, I found it an incredibly useful size. I think that's key, is increasing options for in the city. Encouraging Communauto's little cars with parking permits and fleet expansions, for example.
@c_9 @notjustbikes @reece My Micra is sketchy on the highway but it's fantastic around town on lower speed roads. The light weight (900kg) makes even the small 104hp engine very quick in practice
@notjustbikes @reece I agree too. We should have them, but almost no one wants a car that is smaller than a Canadian pot hole.
@reece are OHV stickers a think in Canada like they are in the western US?
@reece 100% I think general Canada should have laxer import laws for foreign cars.
@reece A nice, reliant automobile. (oblig.)
@reece Let's start by bringing back subcompacts. You can't even buy the car I already have, let alone smaller ones.
