@moniridia it's a fic (well, entire fandom by now) about plant aliens (so called "Affini") that turn humans into their pets via the use of drugs and/or hypnosis.
Most Affini are canonically trans and autistic, and live in a post scarcity society and have access to cool space tech.

Stories set in the universe range from horror (unstoppable alien turns humans into mindless dolls) to fluffy (plant mommy takes care of poor little meowmeow), with my preference being the latter.
