Some devs write code, others copy from Stack Overflow 📜

#coding #programming #meme #funny #selftaught

@cx7 No middle ground? Like using Stack Overflow to help you write code?
@mikeTesteLinux ahh, you’re right! there should be a middle ground for devs like me—no CS degree, but also not a great dev either. So where do I fit in this meme? ☹️
@cx7 The other category like me, so no CS degree, after that guess than ranking should be exceptionnel, great, good, above average, average, bad, really bad, chat gpt incompetent 😆
@mikeTesteLinux ahh, so i finally have a ranking. right at the bottom, even chatgpt pities my code😭
@cx7 Hum, start to read some book about coding, do some tutorial, give you a challenge project. After that read you own code and ask yourself how you can improve it, and if it really need that improvement. I think people can do good code or bad code, always depend of the situation and the constraint. GPT is a tool where you're searching a specific thing and after you know it exist, you do your own research/learning and dont let ai tool do all the work, because you will be dependent.
@mikeTesteLinux appreciate the advice, thanks, friend!
@cx7 As the creator of Linux that everyone knows, Linus Torvalds has a degree in Computer Science.
@aerphanas didn’t mean to offend anyone! memes are always exaggerated. i thnk the point is that a CS degree doesn’t automatically make someone a great dev, and not having one doesn’t mean they’re bad either. and of course, huge respect to Linus Torvalds for giving us an incredible free and open-source operating system!
