Brian Baldock π¨π¦@netopwibby have you tried focus mode or do not disturb mode? I feel like earlier Mac OS versions had extensions or apps that silenced or modified the callback to the os or app.

@netopwibby hmmm I swear I had at one time a funny app that helped me override this stuff but canβt remember what it was called. I can remember the interactive screensaver game Lunatic Fringe from the After Dark screensaver bundle.
Keir@netopwibby I *think* that, while on a call (or maybe even with just the facetime app open), you click the purple icon in the menubar, select your camera at the bottom and you can actually disable it under there. Stupid place to put it - obviously should be in System Settings but here we are π
