On the first World Day for Glaciers here is a photo of the Mer de Glace from Montenvers, near Chamonix, that I took on my first visit there in 1976, and another showing the glacier in 2023 posted recently by Reddit user deetredd.

@PoLaRobs this is a photo taken in the Alps, in the Monte Disgrazia group (Pizzo Badile and Monte Cengalo) in 1993. My photo compared with a photo of the same area taken recently.
