I get being unhappy about the economy depending on who you are but the thing about a vote is that you can’t take it back like a suit. I wonder what these people were thinking.

This is only going to mean something if these folks get that the next chance they have to hold Trump accountable is the 2026 midterms and whatever local elections they have this year and that they need to vote for Democrats.

Swing State Trump Voters Have Buyer’s Remorse: ‘It’s Very Scary’

They voted for President Donald Trump to bring prices down and bolster the economy. Now they regret their vote.

@TonyStark
And I have no sympathy for anyone who voted for him, voted for a third party candidate, or were eligible and didn't vote.

This time they even had a published plan and they're sticking to it. There is zero excuse.

@jbowen I definitely don’t yet.

I will say that whatever people in any of those groups get with the program and drop their nonsense and want to team up with the 75 million people who did the right thing, they’ll be the ones who help set the agenda for the future.

@TonyStark
The ones who realize their mistake are definitely better than the ones who don't, and we'll need them if there's any chance of things improving (something I don't hold out a lot of optimism for, personally), but I have a *lot* of anger and resentment toward them that I'm not quite sure what to do with.

@jbowen I hear ya. When I see what’s happening to people, I’m fucking pissed. I’m pretty much in that state all the time.

Could have been avoided with an easy gesture like filling in the box next to Kamala Harris’s name.

@TonyStark Harris is more right-leaning than I would like and I wasn't excited about voting for her, but the choice was between "status quo" and "burn everything to the ground out of spite and hatred."

This wasn't an election on the nuances of monetary policy or something. It was between relative sanity and insanity. And we choice insanity. For the second time. After the presented their insane plans with a spiffy website.
