@gregandcin do battery layers count
@apfel @gregandcin Ok… this thing looks insane small. Is it for single hand use?
@ajperez @gregandcin I personally use it 2-handed, but there are a few 1-handed layouts that I had in mind as well when designing it (namely artsey.io and taipo).
@apfel what are the unusual keyboards with vertical double height keys for - What layout do you use with them… (and language)?

@pjacock I use them for everyday typing, anything from emails and chats to coding. I mostly use a slightly reduced version of the aptmak layout¹ and
write in English and German.

@apfel Interesting. I was actually trying out chording on a Corne with Hands Down Promethium in order not to stretch to the more distant keys - not sure yet if I like this or not.

I have similar views to Onishi about the Corne keyboard - see https://note.com/illlilllililill/n/n1781dedd4372 for where removing keys took him - similar to the Zilpzalp, but their design still has 3 pinkie keys.

@pjacock Yeah, everyone seems to have individual needs and preferences (most people preferring to simply use what they know). I ended up with something very reduced, but only could do so with a layout that also deëmphasizes the pinkies a lot. Mine seem especially eager to move as little as possible.
