Hello! It is common for directories to show as 4kb in size because this is the size of the file for the directory, but it does not take into account the file size of everything inside the directory. Please note that File Manager does not show the size of the contents of the directory. To get this information, you will need to view the Disk Usage function in cPanel. If this feature isn't available inside of your cPanel, it may need to be enabled within the Feature Manager in WHM.
