There have been discusions about what USA military officers intervening to #SupportAndDefend the Constitution would mean.

One concern has been the damage to the tradition of #Democracy that a coup would do.

However if the will of the people cannot be expressed, and put into law by their elected representatives, and that law be upheld by the President and put into action by the government authorities then the democratic tradition is already severed.

#MartialLaw would just make it blatant.
