@argv_minus_one @petitcoeur solution in the link above exactly trying to recreate the Windows 95 scrollbars 🙂
Except their thiccness

@evgandr @petitcoeur

The thiccness is not optional! I like big scroll bars and I cannot lie.

@argv_minus_one
I'd say Win95 was peak UI. Some minor improvements came later in both Windows and MacOS, but after WinXP everything went to hell. Now nobody gives a damn about accessibility or even basic usability, only cool looks.

For me, the best were the NeXTStep scrollbars! I miss AfterStep and WindowMaker !

@jmessager

GNUstep and Window Maker are still around.

Yeah I know, but I no longer have many time to spend in tweaking my system for hours! I just use it now !

@argv_minus_one @petitcoeur @evgandr The Rio scrollbar exists

@mage_of_dragons

The what now? I wanna see!

@petitcoeur @evgandr

@argv_minus_one @petitcoeur @evgandr if you drag it with leftclick, it'll only move up. If you drag it with rightclick, it'll only move down. But if you drag it with middle click (or shift+rightclick if your mouse doesn't have that button), it works like an actual scrollbar.
