@JulianOliver I used to fear the inside of Charlie Brooker's mind. These days I wonder if he's ok. Writing dystopic near-term scifi stuff with his creativity for details is one thing. Witnessing the world turning into something similar-but-worse within a decade must be crushing.

@JulianOliver it seems to me that SciFi lately is hitting a wall when it comes to prospect a possible future, maybe because what has been envisioned since tbe 50/60th has in fact been recycled into the actual society utopia and has driven evolution until to today. therefore, by using the same patterns, writers are struggling to imagine something that escapes the gravitational pull of the utopia they are born in...
