He is fixing it, just not in the way his voters assumed he would (never mind that his cronies had warned that there could be at least a 2yr downturn before the US is able to "pivot"): by engineering periodic market-selloffs, he and his buddies can rake in assloads of money with strategic shorting.

Not Surprised@jeffjarvis It will get much worse before it gets better. He said it will and this is one of very few things I believe him on. Trumpeteers will keep believing until it happens to them. Until they miss a car payment. The will justify it or blame it on Biden but eventually, they will feel it. They thought it would happen to someone else.
