my collaborator is demonstrating laudable commitment to our shared project, but also a rather dismaying insistence on continuing to explore a very limited set of themes. additionally, the rather appalling lack of attention to detail has me concerned about the future of this partnership. i’m sorry to say that i just feel this amateurish material is not giving me much to work with, let alone providing a challenge worthy of my considerable talents.

i’m probably going to take a break from this because i don’t want to, you know, get into a fistfight on the walking trail. one of my additions today had already received a response by the time i passed it on the way home, which is slightly troubling.

(said response, i’m sorry to report, was “LIBARD” which is just pretty pathetic all around. i simply added a few question marks with the last tiny nub of chalk remaining. i mean, honestly, honey, do TRY to keep up.)

i’ve been enjoying this as a creative exercise but the fact is, there’s not much sport in waging a battle of wits against an unarmed opponent.

i DID have someone stop to ask what i was doing and then high-five me, which made it all worthwhile. my goal here is more akin to picking up litter than having a dialog of any sort with whoever is scattering trash everywhere to begin with.
