Hi. I'm a dad.
Hi. I'm a dad.Hi. I'm a dad.
Hi. I'm a dad.The lone admin and developer of kbin there had some personal concerns. He meant well, but I think the whole thing was a bit more than he ever intended to take on, especially after the reddit API influx of users.
kbin got forked to mbin, which is still being developed. fedia.io runs on it, others too, but I couldn't say which. As far as "apps" go, I have no problem just using the mobile site for it. mbin/kbin have some limited support for microblogging ("Mastodon" - but don't get me started on terminology), where lemmy does not.
Ahh, I see. My fault for thinking it was self-explanatory. From the sidebar:
Dads for a minute for children who need a dad figure
I believe the "start" of this concept was the "Mom for a minute" at reddit. A person (of any age) may feel like they need a parent to talk to, but for whatever reason, their own parents are not a suitable choice. If you're one of those people, and you feel like talking to "a Dad," this would be a good place to find at least one.
