Who decides what counts as the "far left"? Some of how the US got to where it is involved its so-called "left" party suppressing the actual leftists in it while drifting further and further right.
And that's still ongoing! It tried to court Republican voters instead of motivating nonvoters to vote, and then turned around and blamed its loss on leftists.

The right one advocates racism and the rejection of the other.
They have in common the reject of different thinking. While democratic parties defend their thinking, they also accept other ones.
We talk about the far right and far left, but it also exists in the center.
Every thinking rejecting others are extremists.
I don't think rejecting extremists is extremist as the goal is to protect the real freedom of speech.
