It is about Ukrainian traditional paganism, legends, creatures and overall worldview.

Interesting video especially basically it claims that Ukrainian worldview was closer to pantheism , like it is in Hinduism or Shintoism, than to Greek pantheon (or of course monotheism).

This correlates to the explanations from a book written in late XIX century where author claims that "idols-based religion" as that authors calls it, the belief in a pantheon of gods (such as Svarog and Perun or Belobog an Chernobog) was quite new and there was no enough time to such beliefs to settle in and get deeply rooted into people beliefs. 🧵

That is why there are no legends, songs, or festive ritual about them, except few regions, where at late XIX century it was possible to find signs of religion centered around Perun and Veles.
