What are you talking about? They literally said it was because they repeatedly upvoted content that violates the policy on violence.

Why are they even making a show of this? Couldn’t they just show you different numbers, they’re fuzzed anyway, or shadow ban you, or any of the other ways to make your votes disappear?
The show is the point. Users are supposed to self-censor out of fear, which is far more effective than any form of automated censorship. Reddit just implement the “chilling effect”.
That place is a cesspool, I hope they get chilled into leaving. Even if they go to bluesky, get tf out of there.
So what would happen if the user upvotes something benign and then the OP edits their post to something violent?
