Trump: "You're gambling with World War III."

History: "WWII started with a right-wing authoritarian leader allying himself with a Russian dictator and agreeing to mutually devour a country on Russia's borders. That's essentially identical to what Trump and Putin are attempting to do now. The way to stop WWII was to hold a dictator in check. The way to prevent WWIII is the same."

@bodhipaksa Actually to be correct, Hitler and Stalin have basically divided up Eastern and Central Europe between themselves.

As the joke goes here around, we wonder if we are pencilled in to be part American Europe or Russian Europe. A different kind of ugly dystopia.

@yacc143 Absolutely correct. I'm not 100% sure if you're using the names "Hitler" and "Stalin" to stand for Trump and Putin, but the Pact did include an agreement to divide Europe. What I was referring to, though, was the start of the war, which was the invasion of Poland that followed from the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact.
