I do actually have a video about it started that will show some approaches I'm taking to creating form. That's something I've always struggled with when using sequencers, but I think I have some fun new ways to do it.
@decibyte I would say that if you're the kind of person who pretty much knows what they want, the hapax is incredible because it can do almost anything you can imagine a sequencer doing.
It does have a few generative features, but to me, those are not a reason to buy it. If you're looking for something generative, there are better options.
@decibyte If you're the kind of person who wants to edit a lot, you're probably better off with a computer.
It really excels when you're in a studio full of electronic instruments and you want to play and play and play with yourself.
I do use the pattern features a lot to help me generate forms that are ever-evolving. So basically I can record lots of pieces that are designed to fit together in different ways and then set the sequencer up to do its thing while I keep playing.
