Dear ex-MAGA,

No, I will not be welcoming you into the resistance. And here's why.

You deliberately chose the side that wanted to hurt people. You're just upset now that you're part of the group he's hurting.

You knew he would hurt people. He told you he would hurt people. He detailed exactly how he would hurt people. He planned how he would hurt people. Now you want sympathy because he's including you in those plans. You want us to gather you in, and let you cry your tears on our shoulders and make sweet tut tut sounds and tell you it's all going to be okay.

It's not. It's just not going to be okay. Your job isn't coming back. Your taxes aren't going back down. Your farm isn't coming back. Your nephews and nieces aren't getting un-deported. Your healthcare isn't coming back. The bank isn't un-foreclosing on your house. Your freedoms aren't returning. We can't undo ANY of this. WE CAN'T STOP THIS TRAIN YOU STARTED. That's not what The Resistance is.

The Resistance is about one thing and one thing only. Harm reduction.

And guess what, sparky, you have proven through your actions that, given the choice between harming people and not harming people, YOU CHOSE HARM.

This election, possibly the last one America ever truly has, this one was the big one. The red line in the sand. This was the test of your moral character. And you failed. You danced across that line, hooting and hollering and cheering for more, and more, and even more harm.

So no, you don't now get to walk that back. Jesus forgives. Go peddle your penitence there, if you want, and see if He has any to spare. The Resistance does not. The Resistance remembers.
