naoI was once trying to develop a decent Bluesky client app fully in SwiftUI. and here is a part of it which came out nice. However, the more you go deeper in the development, the harder it seems to build a complex yet performant app in SwiftUI.
The trouble was mainly the classic List vs. LazyVStack problem—there’s always something that either component lacks or doesn’t quite cover.
With that said, I was quite happy to implement a nice little image viewer that’s similar to the one in Ivory. (Omg, Ivory and Tweetbot are so well-built, I again realized.) Anyway my journey to build a Bluesky client app ends here.
