Go Phase II! 🇹🇹
Pan party has begun!
New pope being debuted at Panorama by The Invaders
(They quoted the Handel’s Hallelujah moments before)
As always, lots of great performances going on tonight. Specifically a good amount of drama in a lot of the tunes this year
And quite a few monologues at the beginning of performances, which is new
Spice blocking my view of the festivities
The tune “Bet Meh” has been played twice tonight and both bands have leaned into the pageantry of the gambling theme
The Renegades here bringing a horse on stage, probably a first for Panorama
Later, that same band leader started tossing out playing cards on stage… but they still couldn’t reach the over-the-top-ness of the Trinidad All Stars, who earlier tonight rained down fake dollar bills everywhere at the end of their rendition of the same tune
All ten bands have performed now, waiting on the judges to declare the winner of Panorama 2025
EXODUS is the winner this year! Their first time winning since 2004
Their tune was “Too Own Way” (will post the video once I find it on YouTube)
A well deserved win for a close competition (288 points awarded to first place, 285 points for second place)
I got to see Exodus practice for Panorama back in 2010 so it’s pretty cool to see them now take home the big prize

Really impressive playing and execution here, full of dramatic moments and flair (and a stilts walker!)
I always say that some of the pieces at Panorama sound like final boss music in a #FinalFantasy game, being so bombastic and danceable and cool
But this performance felt more like final boss music in #SecretOfMana or #ChronoTrigger and I can't put my finger on why exactly
