Many of you know that the administration is trying a lot of fuckery with US Passports and gender markers right now. They violated the Administrative Procedure Act by doing this without a comment period.

Right now, they are trying to cure the APA violation by having an after-the-fact comment period...

... you can go there RIGHT NOW and make your voice heard. The comments currently are overwhelmingly negative, opposing the administration's bigoted and harmful rule changes.

If you can, please go add your voice. You may think it will make no difference, but the courts can and will look at all of this. Your comment RIGHT NOW opposing passport sex marker nonsense can make you a part of yet another inevitable Trump loss in the court systems soon.

@deviantollam when I click “view posted comments” it says there are no results. Is this happening on anyone else’s end, and were they previously visible?
@cwg1231 strange, I saw something earlier that looked like the comments but that was in a screenshot and now I can't find it
@deviantollam @cwg1231 yeah i can see that there are 6800ish comments but i just went in circles for a few minutes trying unsuccessfully to view them
@cwg1231 @deviantollam it looks like all comments were unpublished.
@Stinkie @cwg1231 gotcha. wonder if and when they'll be released.
@deviantollam @Stinkie @cwg1231 I called the Regulations.gov help desk - they said that all comments have to be reviewed by the individual agency and each one has their own process (ongoing / after comment end / in batches / etc). One important thing of note was that the "DOS_FRDOC_" is a placeholder ID and will likely change at some point, so the rep said the "federal register number" (2025-02648) is what to look for.
@cwg1231 @deviantollam This happens to me too. Maybe they got worried about all of the negative comments & hid them.
